We work In-Network with Blue Shield and United Healthcare PPO and United Healthcare PPO. If you have a different insurance with acupuncture benefits, we could bill your insurance as Out of Network practitioner.

We are a contractor of Kaiser, with your PCP’ referral from Kaiser Richmond or Pinole, you will only need to pay your co-pay.

We can also provide you with a Superbill (itemized receipt with insurance codes) for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

We do offer discounted time-of-service rates for uninsured and under-insured patients. Payment in full of time-of-service fees, or co-pays/co-insurance, is due at each appointment.

Time of Service Cash Rates

Initial Acupuncture Visit ( 90 minutes-120 minutes): $180

Follow-up Acupuncture Visit ( 60 minutes-75 minutes ): $90

In order to facilitate frequent treatments, which are in many cases the key to successful treatment and to good health care, we have devised care bundles for those who need more than acute help

Initial visit: $180

  • 4 visits: $340
  • 8 visits: $640
  • 12 visits: $900

Herbal consultation (30-minute consultation): $50

The cost for custom herbal granules formulas can vary between $25-$40 per week. Certain herbal formulas may be more expensive due to herb costs. 

****Please note: A Monthly Payment Plan is available for all patients showing financial need. Please speak to us before your first appointment if you require consideration for a lower fee.

Acupuncture for Veterans

Felek Acupuncture is happy to be registered with the US Department of Veterans Affairs (TriWest Healthcare alliance).

If you are a veteran who is currently enrolled in the VA Health Care system, you are eligible for acupuncture treatment. The following three-step process is a guide to receive VA-covered acupuncture care:

  1. Contact your local VA clinic and schedule an appointment with your Primary Care Provider (PCP).
  2. During your PCP appointment, tell your doctor that you would like to receive acupuncture treatment from Felek Acupuncture, we are listed in the VA database as a local, non-VA care provider.
  3. The VA will then contact Felek Acupuncture and schedule a time that is convenient for you.

Your acupuncture treatment will be billed directly to the VA!

Flexible Health Spending  & Health Savings Accounts

Acupuncture is an approved therapy for most FSA/HSA accounts. Please bring your issued debit/credit card to your appointment.

Herbal Formulas

Herbs will be charged in addition to your office visit.The herbal pharmacy is well-stocked, however, some custom herbs and supplements may not be available on site at the time of your appointment. Please expect 1-7 business days for arrival for those.


Missed Appointment

Please notify us immediately if you are unable to make an appointment, as a courtesy to the office staff and other patients who may need to come in during that time. There will be no charge if 24 hours notice is given; failure to do so will result in being charged the full fee for your appointment.



Your privacy is important. Your files and patient information will be kept confidential.They will be shared only when necessary to provide care and services, or when required by law. This office is compliant with HIPAA.
