Community Qigong

Community Qigong

Learn the fundamentals of Qigong, including alignment, balance, Qi flow in and beyond the meridians, working consciously with Yin and Yang, and attuning to seasonal changes. These drop-in all-level classes take you gently through practices that calm your nervous system, center your mind, harmonize your breath with the movements of your body, and center you in the ever-shifting flow of life's changes. Working with practices from various Qigong traditions and Dao Yin stretches, these classes are designed to settle the emotions, and to effortlessly build core strength and whole-body coordination, mental focus, a relaxed yet energized feeling, and a deeply rooted, quiet joy.

Please wear sneakers, and clothes you can breathe and move easily in. This class will be indoors during the winter.

Register for the class online here. Class is $25, or $20 with a five-class package (please call or email us at 510-545-2896 or info@felekacupuncture.com to purchase a package). Your first visit is $20!

This class is led by Rae Diamond. Rae teaches practices from various Qigong traditions, including Eight Pieces of Brocade, Wuji, Bone Marrow Washing, An Mo Gong, Healing Sounds Qigong, and Dao Yin, all influenced by her/their studies of Wild Goose Qigong with late master, Dr. Bingkun Hu. Rae's studies also include ongoing learning with Qigong teacher, Micheline Bogey and Neijing scholar, Dr. Edward Neal. Rae's teaching style is gentle, contemplative, fun, and therapeutic, with strong emphases on Qi flow, the interplay of Yin and Yang, and the "five phases" of Chinese medicine as well as proper alignment and mind-breath-body coordination. Rae's approach is informed by over two decades of study of Buddhism, Taoism, Yoga, meditation, and the Chinese medicine system, a lifetime of movement practices, and over 15 years of professional practice of energy healing.
