Acupuncture
Acupuncture has been used for thousands of years for many ailments. It is a gentle treatment that addresses the underlying causes of your symptoms, and helps bring your body back into balance.
-
Cupping
Cupping is a method of creating a vacuum on the patient’s skin to dispel stagnant blood and lymph, there by improving qi flow to treat respiratory diseases such as the common cold, pneumonia, and bronchitis. Cupping also is used on back, neck, shoulder, and other musculoskeletal conditions. Cupping can cause non-permanent red marks, swelling, and bruising at local areas for a few days to a week.
-
Moxibustion
Moxibustion is a traditional Chinese medicine technique that involves the burning of mugwort to facilitate healing. The purpose of moxibustion, as with most forms of Chinese medicine, is to strengthen the blood, stimulate the flow of qi, and maintain general health.
-
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbal medicine has been practiced and documented for over 2,500 years. In Chinese Medicine, herbal formulas can include anywhere from 4 to 20 herbs, each serving a different purpose in order to fine-tune the formula to the patient’s specific constitution and imbalance.

FAQs
-
Acupuncture is generally speaking very gentle and results in almost no negative side effects. Occasionally, a patient may experience some residual tenderness or mild bruising where the needle was inserted
-
Completely. Needles are made of stainless steel; they are pre-sterilized and disposed of after each session.
-
Most patients don't feel much more than a slight prick as the needle is inserted. Occasionally, a patient may describe a dull, slightly aching sensation when the needle is inserted that dissipates within moments after insertion. Following insertion, patients report a calm and peaceful meditative state during treatment.
